- subject sb/sth to sth (phrasal verb) /ˈsʌbdʒɪkt/ /ˈsʌbdʒekt/ (C2) = to cause or make sb/sth to experience sth, usually sth unpleasant (phải trải qua hoặc chịu đựng thứ gì)
=> Cụm từ này thường dùng dưới dạng bị động: sb/sth + be subjected to + sth
Examples:
