- get away from it all (idiom) = go somewhere, usually on holiday, where you can completely relax and forget your responsibilities or problems (đi tới 1 nơi nào đó mà bạn có thể hoàn toàn thư giãn và quên hết mọi vấn đề)
E.g: I love to get away from it all when I’m on holiday.
- a tourist trap (n) = a place that attracts a lot of tourists and where food, drink, entertainment, etc is more expensive than normal (nơi mà thu hút rất đông du khách và giá cả ở những nơi này thường bị chặt chém)
E.g: The palace is such a tourist trap in the summer.
- once-in-a-lifetime (idiom) = unique and unrepeatable (độc nhất và không bao giờ có lại lần nữa)
E.g: I’ve won a once-in-a-lifetime trip around the world.
- off the beaten track (idiom) = a place that is off the beaten track is not well known and is far away from the places that people usually visit (ở một nơi không quá phổ biến, cách xa những nơi mà mọi người thường ghé tới)
Lưu ý: off the beaten path <Anh Mỹ> , off the beaten track <Anh Anh>
E.g: We like to stay in places that are off the beaten track.
- run-down <adj> = (of a building or place) in very bad condition; that has not been taken care of (Tính từ này dùng để mô tả 1 nơi hoặc 1 tòa nhà, nghĩa là đang ở trong 1 tình trạng tồi tàn, không được chăm sóc)
E.g: This hotel looks very run-down.
- unspoiled <adj> = beautiful because it has not been changed or damaged by people (Một nơi xinh đẹp, nơi mà chưa có bị làm thay đổi hay bị gây hư hại bởi con người)
E.g: I love going birdwatching in this unspoiled countryside.
- get itchy feet <idiom> = want to travel or move to a different place (muốn đi du lịch hoặc đi tới một nơi khác)
E.g: Tim has gone abroad again. He’s always getting itchy feet.
- look forward to (doing) sth <phrasal verb> = feel pleased and excited about sth that is going to happen (cảm thấy phấn khích, mong chờ, mong đợi một điều gì đó sắp xảy ra)
E.g: I’m really looking forward to visiting the pyramids.
- take your breath away (idiom): If sth takes your breath away, it is extremely beautiful or surprising (cực kỳ đẹp hoặc rất ngạc nhiên)
E.g: The view from the top of the mountain took my breath away.
- travel on a shoestring <idiom> = travel with very little money (đi du lịch vs ít tiền)
E.g: I managed to travel around south-east Asia on a shoestring.
